- Fri Oct 9, 6–10 PM (second Friday of every month) Pilsen's Chicago Arts District opens its galleries for Second Friday her thing ✓ Galleries, studios and shops along S Halsted around 18th Street open their doors in the evening. Artists are often on hand. This is the monthly series. We have not seen a lineup specific to October, and the two sources disagree on the information center's address, so we have not printed one. Make it a date: four hours of free galleries let you set the pace, and Simone's Bar is two blocks west at 960 W 18th St if you want to sit down afterward. Check its hours first.
