THEMOVE

Privacy Policy & Standards

The short version: we collect your email to send you the newsletter you asked for, we never sell or share it, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

What we collect and why

When you subscribe to a city list, we collect your email address — and only your email address — through a double opt-in flow: you get a confirmation email and are only subscribed once you click it. Lists are stored with Brevo, our email provider, and used solely to send The Move. We never sell, rent, trade, or share your address with anyone, including partners. Partners see aggregate numbers only.

The format experiment

We sometimes send different subscribers different layouts of the same weekly edition (for example, a full-itinerary version versus a what's-on-this-weekend roundup) to learn which serves readers better. Same verified content pool, different packaging — assignment is random and affects presentation only.

Analytics

Site analytics, when enabled, are cookieless (no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no profiles). Emails carry standard delivery analytics (opens, clicks) from Brevo, used to judge which plans readers actually book.

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe that takes effect immediately. For full deletion of your address from our systems, email us and we'll confirm within 10 days. California residents: we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA; access and deletion rights described here are available to all readers.

Editorial and partner standards

Every venue and event we publish traces to a real source, and we verify before listing. AI involvement in producing The Move is disclosed on the site and in every email. Paid placements are always labeled "Partner"; editorial picks can't be bought; affiliate links, when present, are disclosed next to the link. Corrections: tell us at the contact address and we'll fix it in the next edition.

One email. Friday plans, done.

Every Thursday morning: this week's best dates in your city, fully planned — book one thing, look like you did the research. Free.
